Olivia (Liv Piv, Livi Pivy, Livi) is the latest canine addition to our menagerie [Stef is constantly adding to our zoo with fish, turtles, crabs, etc...].  One of our friends heard about a dachshund that had been found wandering the streets of a town about 1 hour north of us and was being kept in a veterinary hospital.  Hours later my wife was racing northward on a rescure mission.  Livi was extremely skinny when she joined us.  The hospital thought she had been on her own for at least a week.  It took her weeks - maybe months - to comprehend that we would feed her regularly.  Her early meals at our home were quite the experience with Livi gobbling down anything and everything she could could chomp down on as fast as possible.  Even though she currently gets fed regularly, if Baby Baby gets a little lax at the food dish she darts in like a cruise missile and steals as much as she can.  Having realized she has it pretty good, she is extremely and sometimes overprotective of our family.  Livi believes all toys are hers.  Her favorite game is chasing any type of light: light laser, flashlight, reflection.  Livi also excels at sun worship.
